I would avoid the 500 MHz model for two reasons: the 66 MHz bus speed and the Rage128 GPU. 66 MHz is a pretty anaemic bus speed in today's world of 333 MHz (DDR) buses, and the Rage128 is yesterday's graphics chip. Coming from a PowerBook 2400, of course you will think it's all speedy as heck, but the iBook is getting long in the tooth as it is, no need to limit yourself too much by going for the slowest model there is.
