Just guessing. The usual things: money? power?

Supposedly, IBM incorporated some Unix code (copyrighted) into Linux 
(open source) that they use on machines they sell. I haven't heard 
anything about Apple's involvement. Since Apple has, more than likely, 
licensed the Unix code it uses, I can't imagine why they would be 
involved in the suit.
