Jack,

This is a legitimate issue and is being addressed as well as the issue
another lister mentioned about the weight of current textbooks/backpacks.
Orthopedists have recommended  backpacks should only be 10% of a childs
weight and that is almost surely exceeded. There is a company Apple ED is
pushing  www.beyondbooks.com. There is a lengthy process in textbook
adoption, but it is on it's way.
