Assuming you bought the iBook new, when you bought additional Apple 
Care makes no difference, you still have at least half a years warranty 
based on your new purchase.

Warranties are meant to fix problems like these and there are lemon 
laws in some states that require a replacement if a unit cannot be 
fixed after a certain minimum number of tries. However, I am not 
qualified to answer how that works in your case.

You should call Apple for another repair and if necessary take a 
tranquilizer. I think a tranq is usually required when one has to send 
their books back for repair.  This is not quite as stressful as knowing 
you have to have open heart surgery but the difference in stress is 
quite small.
