The only time my wife's iBook or my TiBook shut down is when necessary
for an upgrade or when something is wedged (pretty rare now--more
common with 10.1).  Sleeping all day shouldn't be a problem at all
unless your battery is shot.  If it is, then you might have trouble
waking up (because it actually died or something).
