[P1] Mail won't work with Panther

Had this happen once or twice recently on my ibook (BTW, my mail app is 
really huge since I am a packrat, not sure if this is contributory or 
not), One time, I think I solved it by closing and reopening Mail. 
However, one other time, I had to restart in order to get it working 
again.
