I think most PC's in the past have used add-on cards for the ethernet connection. While the built in Ethernet is a great sales gimmic, it isn't upgradeable other than by adding another card just like a PC user must do. The point I was trying to make is that PC users were networking with Ethernet while mac users were stuck with Local Talk.
