All I implied was that this was a bad example to use; a large-scale purchase like this really has no bearing on the situation for the individual user. No myths purported here. In the end, I think the point of the original post (which I still agree with) is that some Mac users have a tendancy to exxagurate the problems inherent in other platforms (even when they don't have any first-hand experience with them), and to downplay the significant problems with the Mac OS, as if pointing them out were some sort of personal insult.
