I would think that the virus problem to which Windows machines are both susceptible and targeted would be a major factor in a final decision. With the general proliferation of viruses pervading the internet, a network (especially in a school) IS going to contract whatever the worm-de-jour might be; it only takes one machine which has not had it's weekly Norton update to infect the lot. The costs for removal of the virus, repair to both software and hardware, and anti-virus subscriptions, not to mention the downtime of the machines/network would more than make up for any difference in cost between Macs and PCs. I presume you checked the archived messages for the missing links you wanted?
