I agree with Brian on this one, if you are able to fix it, its only a stop gap, because despite my best efforts to fix mine, my cord, (when it did the same thing) continued to fray. ps, I woudn't suggest getting any of the apple branded power cords either, they fray much too easily. I got my new adapter from macresq, and I couldn't be happier!
