Hi: Just wanted to relate my experience with AppleCare and my iBook. Recently whenever I moved my screen on my 12" iBook a quarter inch back or forward the backlight would go out. If I opened the iBook fully to the stop and turned it on the backlight would not come on at all. On Tuesday of last week I called Apple and they sent me a box which I received on Wednesday. Thursday I mailed the computer to Apple Direct Service in Memphis, TN. I was prepared for at least a week to 10 days wait without my constant companion. When I arrived at work this morning, within an hour, I received the computer back! Now that is service! Many people had told me that AppleCare was the best money I could spend and I can see why. For others who might have the same problem, the part that they replaced was: Inverter/Sleep Assembly. Robert Newman
