[P1] iBook not booting

If you have access to another Mac you can try booting into firewire 
disk mode and run a disk check to make sure the hard drive is okay.
I don't know if a bad RAM stick can damage a machine so it won't boot 
even after removing the possibly bad RAM...Anybody???
