I love being able to hook up a larger monitor in spanning mode. Interestingly, some time after applying that patch my logic board went out (again). After the repair I found the spanning feature was still enabled. That suprised me because I thought this hack/patch modified PRAM, and I was under the impression that the PRAM is on the logic board. I thought for sure I'd have to reapply that patch when I got the iBook back from repair, but no. That left me head scratching a bit... -- J.C.
