I have a iBook, dual USB, 640M, OS X 10.3.2 and mirroring to a CRT. I 
leave the lid propped open enough to slide my hand in to get a "feel" 
for the temp. There is a lot of warm air stirring over the keyboard. I 
would NOT run with it closed.
