Remote controlling "Internet Connect"

Hello nice people ..

Again I have a rather unconventional question / idea ...

Talking about 3 ibooks, all on panther, our connection is ISDN  ... One
ibook is thus grounded (as the ISDN modem here has no ethernet port and I
cannot use my airport station)  so .. This old old ibook keeps the
connection and sends out a signal and I believe it is a pretty funny sight
when me and my wife sit in bed next to each other both with their dual USB
iBooks .. 

Now the thing is ... How can I disconnect without having to get out of bed
and go downstairs to the office ??? (and NO, asking wife is not really an
option). Also "just stay online" does not apply thanks to the connection
being capped ... 

Is there a way?
