I really > don't want to buy Panther now ;--) Glad to hear we got halfway there! :-) Try this: 1) Quit Safari if you're running it. 2) Create a new empty folder in your home directory, or your desktop, anywhere you want 3) Move *all* the files out of Library/Safari. 4) Start Safari. If this works, your bookmarks will be gone (they're in the "Bookmarks.plist" file). You could try opening it with TextEdit, but it probably won't make a whole lot of sense even if it isn't corrupted.
