Are you just getting this modem? If so, they might require you register the MAC address (essentially the serial number) of your network card with Comcast. This will only allow you to connect to the internet using that computer. In such a case, you will need a router, or maybe the airport (if it will do it) to copy that number from you and tell the cable modem that IT is that computer. This will allow the airport or router to then share the connection with others. I don't think the airport is capable of this, but I don't have one, so I can't say. You might need to get a wired router and connect it to the airport, or maybe get a wireless router and take the airport out of the equation. They're a little more complicated to set up, but not overly so, and they work great. I have a cheap D-link wireless router and am using my powerbook wirelessly right now. I think it cost like $40 after rebates. Let me know if you need any more info. I have a similar setup to what you're suggesting.
