My girlfriend just got a pair of Etymotics ER6 earplug type headphones, and she likes them alot. She got them for plane trips, and that many people like how they seal out sound, but they also have a high fidelity sound. However, I do have to admit when I tried them, I was a little weirded out by how far they have to go in to achieve full affect. But I think with a little bit of time, you'll grow used to it. At 97 bucks, they aren't cheap, but they aren't as expensive as the Bose either. http://store.yahoo.com/earplugstore/index.html?ESCOM+Forward Al --- You wrote: Not inexpensive but the Bose noise cancelling headsets (especially the second generation) are fantastic...I won't use anything else now...but they are very expensive (worth every penny and fit like a dream). --- end of quote ---
