Another good thing about using Entourage is that there are a lot of places
to go for help if needed on any aspect of it;

If you want to get to know and use the Uni* side of X then you could always
have a go at the open source alternatives such as pine or Xemacs or download
fink and probably even use most of the gnome or kde programs (there is a
pretty decent GUI email app from Kde..)

Commercially there are alternatives such as Mailsmith (from the people that
produce Bbedit);

I am sure it is great but haven't tried it myself...
