OT: Next best "iPod" for people without FW ???

Hello, 

I so have sold a friend to the iPod and she really wants one ... Turns out
that neither her home nor her work machine have FW ports ... So .. Yeas, I
already said "get a mac" ... But that is not in the books right now ...

So .. What is the next best player (probably USB then) that one could
recommend? Around 4 GB is a good size ...
