Yep, take it back to the dealer. I had a similar problem on a new G4 
PowerBook and took it to an Apple Store and the Genius at the counter 
fixed it in less than 10 minutes. The problem is the little hook gets 
bent, and it just has to be caught (no simple feat) and bent in the 
right direction and then it hooks fine.
