Hi all, I'm having some trouble doing a remote graphical login (using XDMCP) to a Linux box. I think it's configured ok, because I've previously done such a login from a Unix environment elsewhere. Here's the command I'm using (within Terminal), along with the system response. Unfortunately, no graphical window appears, and nothing further appears to happen. Can anyone give some suggestions? --------------------8< snip---------------------- >> X -query 127.127.127.127 (not actual proxy address) XFree86 Version 4.3.0 / X Window System (protocol Version 11, revision 0, vendor release 6600) _XSERVTransmkdir: Owner of /tmp/.X11-unix should be set to root [DRI] screen 0 installation complete Screen 0 added: 1024x768 @ (0,0) --------------------8< snip---------------------- I don't think the part about setting to root is the issue (as I think it's only a lock file) - but I could be wrong ;-).
