I agree, the ability to drive a larger monitor is the PowerBook's only real advantage. There are apparently hacks out there to allow doing this with the iBook as well, but with a new one I personally wouldn't try that, since it would negate your warranty. Since you're a student, you may end up doing presentations, depending upon your major and instructors, and being able to project a presentation and have notes on your monitor might be an advantage as well. Again, this is a function of the PB's built-in dual-head capability and may not be useful for you. Steve W.
