The conventional wisdom seems to be that *most* Canons are Mac-friendly (I have a ZR-80 & it definitely is), stay away from the cameras that record directly to DVD (some Sonys), and some older Samsung cameras don't work too well. Nobody has ever said that mini-DV Sonys (that record to tape) are a problem.
