Also, VideoLAN and Mplayer are excellent video players, supporting a  
wide range of formats.

AbiWord is a nice, light word processor (although it's not totally  
stable ;-)

SubEthaEdit is an excellent text editor - suitable for code development

iPhotoBuddy allows multiple iPhoto libraries (someone on this list  
recommended it to me! ;-)

Libra allows multiple iTunes libraries

MacJournal is a diary, and is very nice

Fink is the ultimate - lets you install (almost) any GNU software on  
your Mac.. fantastic.
