[iBook] System backup

One of the really beneficial things about the enforced-structure in OS 
X -- the "Users" folder -- is it makes backing up your data relatively 
simple, because just about everything is there. So the quickest, 
easiest step would be to make a copy of that folder, preferably on a CD 
or external disc, and do so on a fairly regular basis.

There are lots of programs that will assist you in making more detailed 
backups (including Applications and Utilities), but without knowing how 
you intend to store them (Is this just being copied to another part of 
your iBook's drive? On to a CD? Or an external disc?) it's hard to 
offer much more detailed advice.
