I am unable to do this, as both batteries are apparently dead. I did it with the power supply plugged in, and got the following results: Old battery: Voltage=16580 Flags=133 Amperage=$ "New" battery: Voltage=0 Flags=131 Amperage=1200$ Also, I followed the instructions on the Apple web site: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=14449 "Resetting PowerBook and iBook Power Management Unit (PMU)". This had no apparent effect on the laptop. I called a local company today that works on laptops. They told me they had no way to check if the charging system is working. I called (at their suggestion) Batteries Plus to see if they could check the batteries. Batteries Plus said they have no way of checking the Lithium Ion batteries. Anyone have any instructions on using a voltmeter to check the batteries? Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
