[iBook] iBook and external monitor

Thanks for the input for all who responded.

I purchased the Dell 2005FPW through dealmac.com for $484.00,  
received it from Dell in 3 days using free shipping, and after  
installing ScreenSpanningDoctor it plugged and played using the VGA  
input.

No problem running the monitor at 1680 x 1050 (same as Apple's 20"  
Cinema Display), and to my eyes the video quality is the same as my  
iBook 14 display but A LOT brighter.  I have the Dell display's  
brightness set to zero and it's still much brighter than the iBook on  
maximum.

FYI and YMMV.
