[iBook] Disappearing desktop icon file names and internal bluetooth

     First thing is I've been having trouble with the file names on my desktop icons disappearing, well not all the way a few letters are left. I've repaired permissions, but I'm wondering if it's something else. I tried finding information about this elsewhere, but without any luck. I'm running Panther 10.3.9 on an iBook G4.
     Second I'm wondering about retro fitting bluetooth internally on the iBook, I've seen the hack and that is more then I want to do. Is bluetooth really worth it?
