Thanks for the suggestions folks... sounds like standard screen cleaners
will do. I get nervous about these things, never having really got over
thinking wire wool would be perfect to polish the plastic front of my
bike speedometer when I was 10.

As for piss taking... thanks for the support but I'm the last person to
be in a position to complain about taking the piss. I took it as the
well meant smartassery I think (hope) it was intended as.
