I'd like to know why I can't seem to find my Mail data on an external hard drive when I use it to boot up my iBook. Here's what I do: I back-up my iBook's data on an external hard drive. To back-up my data, I drag my User file from my iBook to my hard drive. On those occasions when I've had to restore data to my iBook, I've had no problems. Here's my hang-up: My iBook runs off of 10.3. The hard drive can boot with OS 10.4, but when I do this, the e-mail in my Mail program is not current. The Mail program on the hard drive does contain e-mail that was resident in my iBook under 10.3 when I first installed Tiger. But I am unable to move my current e-mail data from my iBook to the Mail program on my hard drive. My question: where and/or how do I move my e-mail from my iBook running under 10.3 to my hard drive so that when I boot off the hard drive into 10.4, I can view my e-mail in the Tiger version of Mail.
