Sure have and do, and altho mirroring isn't x'actly clear, but for
simplicity
and speed with a resulting bootable Ext. FW HD to boot tossed in, a
periodic
cloneing with CCC(Carbon Copy Cloner from Bombich) of your whole HD
should be
more than adequate and safe.
On Ext. HD or a partition(sized adequately) on it, simply clone to that
target
from the Int. HD, with subsequent manually done(and timed) clones being
done
following a quick erase with DU(Disk Utility) first, and a test boot to
the Ext.
following, some also take the time to use DU to Repair Priviledges
while booted
to the Ext. as a precaution. Then anytime you've a problem, boot to the
Ext.
and erase the Int. HD(or partition) and clone back, and you're good to
go.
I myself, like to consider this as an easy way to de-fragment a HD
also, altho
some claim OSX doesn't require doing it.
HTHs some.

Do read thru CCC's Read Me first, and know that CCC is well worth it's
cost.

*Let me add in here; I am still hoping and waiting on some iBook Guru
input to
my; "Subject: a couple iBook Keyboard queries" from yestarday, Please
advise.
  TIA again.
