History of things to ibook:
It ahs worked exceedingly well... then 2 days ago when i turned on the computer the date was set back to the 1969 date.

Every so often I do a fsck -yf... and almost monthly do a repair disk .... both have seemed to keep the dual usb ibook in great shape.

But i plugged in ibook, downloaded email.and all of sudden..
i get this (now I am told a kernel panic" message.. you must restart your machine.... and it is in english, german, french, and japanese followed by several FF FF FF FF FF

I understand that I will need to use my original disk..which i don't have with me to
Is there anythng else
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106227 is the message i get

I have run fsck.... again.and there are still problems mentioned..

Will a reinstall.. solve this..?
What do u think started it?

I have an airport card
I have Apple memory..but both were purchased and installed 2 years ago.

thanks
