[iBook] Tiger upgrade

Is the G3 iBook at least the 500MHz white model or newer?  Then you're okay.
 
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the colored older iBooks that look like
toilet seats can't run Tiger because the requirements state that it must be
for the G3's and newer that include a firewire port?
