  I have heard that the D-Link DWL-122 works well with 802.11b  
(original Airport) networks.

Just this past weekend I got an iBook connected on a 802.11G (Airport  
Extreme) network using a d Link DWL-G122. All we had to do was  
download and install the driver we found through a link on  
Macosxhints.com

  We also found this compatibility list that might be helpful.
