Jean-Paul, I too have been checking out the All-in-One printer-scanners for a friend. The jury is still out as to what I'd buy. However in the Inkjet type I would prefer the Epson models. These are usually among the lower cost models out there. For a variety of reasons I don't like, Brother and Hp and Lexmark. Nevertheless all Inkjet models will bankrupt you with the costs of their ink cartridges. So I have been looking carefully at the laser type all-in-one machines currently available. Often the laser type are much larger machines but once you factor the price of the laser toner cartridges these machines become the best value. Individual toner cartridges can be expensive but ultimately cost less per printed page than the Inkjet inks. Buy and large laser models are monochrome. One significant advantage of the Inkjet models is their ability to print photo quality images. Few laser models can offer this capability of color quality without becoming very expensive. Look at what drivers are available in the laser models. Normally I like HP for laser printing but they can be problematic vis-a-vis Mac drivers. Canon should be first rate and Epson have an expensive model that might be too much for a student's budget. Here is the Epson site. http://www.epson.ca/cgi-bin/ceStore/ProductCategory.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=yes&oid=-8182 Good luck, Bill
