If you end up going the Epson route, be prepared to configure it for  
her.  At least some of the Epson AIO models do not ship with mac  
drivers or reference macs in their instruction manuals, although the  
are marketed as being mac compatible, and mac drivers, etc. are  
available on their website.

If I remember correctly (this was not my machine, but a neighbors),  
the print, copy, & fax functions worked fine, but it took some  
finagling to get the scanner to function, it simply was not  
recognized by the mac.
