[iBook] Mail Help...

I notice that on my iBook it is set to receive IMAP and on my G5 it 
receives POP.  I'm taking iBook to France for a month and don't want 
problems.  The Cox account goes out fine from the G5, but the .mac 
account is very slow and fails frequently and I have to try again and 
again.

Can anyone clarify this for me and tell me how to best set it up for my 
adventure?  I have the .mac account to pick up mail from cox and it 
comes in from .mac at the present time which is how I want to keep it.
