Yes, But the Apple instructions (for those of you that haven't gotten it yet), tell you to drain the old one. Use it until it dies, then, put in the new battery, plug in the computer, let it charge to 100%, then unplug it, let new battery die while using it, then charge battery back to 100%, then it will be calibrated.
