I maxed out the RAM when I bought it four years ago, so have added none since. The drive was quite full until about two weeks ago when I moved a bunch of RAW photo files to a firewire drive. Now my 40GB hard drive has over 11GB of free space. If this problem gets no worse, I can live with it. I'm planning to buy a new computer in a few months when Apple releases Leopard; however, if this is a sign of impending doom, I'd be motivated to buy sooner.
