[iBook] G3 ibook trouble

Hi All need advice for my daughter

her ibook G3 800 is starting to act up and go funny i have fixed the  
graphic problem with a card board wedge under the gpu and that has  
done the trick but now she is getting kernal panics that are causing  
her to have to restart and they seem to be etting more frequent (like  
every three or four days ) Any advice welcome also any things i can  
try. the system specs are
G3 800 32mb vram 30gb hdd 640 ram dvd/cdrw and running os 10.3.9  
fully updated with office 2004 and appleworks 6 also various other  
apps. The system seems to freeze when she has a few things open which  
is leading me to believe that it could be a memory problem, anyone  
else have any suggestions
