<HTML><BODY style="word-wrap: break-word; -khtml-nbsp-mode: space; -khtml-line-break: after-white-space; ">Those who remember my message about GarageBand and my friend's kid who will be getting my current iBook for Christmas - <B>[iBook] Garageband on iBook 1.2 GHz - </B>(it will be cleaned, keyboard replaced, etc.), will be happy to know this will actually transpire. They are a PC family, and this is their trial run on the Mac. In the meantime, my new MacBook Pro will arrive monday, direct from China.<BR><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>My question is: how in the world do I transfer my contents to the new MBP? What way is recommended? Can a person transfer apps and preferences? Isn't there a way to make a disk image or something like that?</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>I'm assuming you can hook them up and drag and drop, but are there any programs or anything else?
