[iMac] new iMac and iMovie HD6

Coming to iMovie HD6 from Final Cut Express HD because FCE HD will  
not run on the new iMacs.
BOOOOOO Apple!

I have one clip which is 33 seconds long next to another clip with is  
over 9 seconds long.
Trying to add a transition I Get the error message "You cannot apply  
a transition between two very short clips. They must be at least  
3:49:16 long"

How can this be? Needing two THREE MINUTE clips before you can add a  
transistion? That can't be true.
