Speed Adjustment?

Hi,
I know this is probably a little off topic, but here goes anyway.

Does anyone know of a way to slow down the playback of a recording? I have
some tapes of the family singing Christmas songs and a few of them are too
fast. I can get them from the tape to the computer in AIFF or mp3, but then
I would like to adjust the speed.
