Need Help With iTunes 3 For OS X

Good Morning,

I want to be able to use my Play Lists and mp3s that I have and use 
with iTunes under OS 9.2.2, in iTunes 3 with OS 10.2.4. I have tried 
making an alias of the iTunes folder and putting it in the Users 
folder, under my login name, but it doesn't work. Has anyone on this 
list accomplished this by using all of their Play Lists that they use 
with OS 9.2.2? Would someone please help me?
