At Sam's Club I got Altec Lansing speakersfor $39.95 that have L&R speakers, L&R Satelites and a Powered Subwoofer and can crank out enough noise to really upset the neighbors. It sounds excellent and I cannot complain one bit. Sometimes the downstairs neighbors like to have their stereo loud (and I've asked numerous times for them to keep it down) and it usually doesn't bother too mush but if I'm trying to to html coding I really can't concentrate on my work. I then startup a game of Quake and it doesn't take long for them to turn it down. The speakers are very loud. They probably think I'm crazy. Oh well... I just did a quick search didn't find any really good deals. Keep your eyes open for a speaker set with a Powered Subwoofer and you'll probably good to go. -kevin >From: John in San Diego <johnsandiego at mac.com> >Reply-To: "iTunesList" <iTunes at lists.themacintoshguy.com> >To: "iTunesList" <iTunes at lists.themacintoshguy.com> >Subject: [iTunes] Re: Audio booster >Date: Wed, 7 Jan 2004 17:23:34 -0800 > >I routinely run iTunes into one of the Line-In inputs on my home >entertainment system.
