[iTunes] converting files to mp3

For those of you who stuck with me through my hassle of trying to 
convert a sermon file to mp3 and upload to the website....a feature 
which I had previously been able to do...I want you to know 
installation of a new optical drive was needed.  All the software 
tricks you suggested and I tried were unable to rememdy the problem.
