Many thanks to James, joAnn and Michael. Exactly as you've indicated, I had
already copied the appropriate files. I was just playing it safe, and had
not yet actually launched iTunes on the new MacBook. Sure enough, it just
worked!

Ditto - have now successfully deauthorised/authorised.

Many thanks to all. Now - must continue transferring a multitude of
preference files for everything else I've got installed...
