I'm a physician. I'm hoping to make my belts last a bit longer by decreasing the number of electronic gadgets hanging from them. I just bought an iPhone 3G, and I'd love to discard my pager and my pocket recorder. Of course I've already loaded Epocrates onto the phone. Friends with WM5 devices have been able to tweak their audible SMS alerts so that they repeat until acknowledged. This is critical to me, because if I'm in a noisy environment when my pager goes off, I still hear it, but if I'm using the iPhone as my pager, I may miss that alert. Anyone know of a way this can be tweaked? Is there a social conduit to app store developers who might be interested in implementing this if it doesn't already exist? Does anyone know if any of the audio recording apps will permit "interposition" recording or "back up and edit over the top" recording? Is this the list for asking questions such as this? Does anyone have recommendations for other lists if this ISN'T the one? Thanks so much, Jim Robertson --
