[iTunes] music for the house

My friend has decided that she would like to have music in her house, in all the rooms, all the time. She would find the quality of the music from an iPod or thru her computer to be quite adequate. I suggested perhaps an iPod might be worth considering. I know apple has these little docks with speakers where you can place your iPad to play. Are there wireless speakers she could place around in her home to hear from that main dock?
